What will Turtle Longevity form do for me?2023-07-03T17:18:35-04:00

The slow graceful movements of Turtle Longevity Form and other balancing exercises are called movement meditation. They blend soft, gentle movements of the body with a calm and contemplative state of mind. Turtles that live to be hundreds of years old have been plodding around on this earth for millions of years. It is believed that a person may gain longevity by moving slowly and mindfully through life without over attachment to forms and desires.

Crane and Turtle cultivation as well as Dynamic Crane Techniques charge up the system with a lot of yang Qi. For these energies to benefit our physiology and spirit we need to balance and refine them. We have generated a lot of heat and stimulated the brain, now it is time to cool the head, circulate the Qi and store the excess in lower dantian.

What will Crane Dynamic form do for me?2023-07-03T17:20:37-04:00

QBC’s Crane Dynamic form is an external set of low impact movements combined with breath work and internal mechanism coordination. On the surface, Crane Dynamic will tone and sculpt the body, develop muscle coordination, strength, and mental concentration. Internally you will feel focused, energized and powerful. These movements were selected by Grand Master Tsai for their effectiveness from his extensive training of Shaolin Mei Hua Qigong. The techniques in this form will benefit martial artists as well as non-martial artists for quicker mastery and development of Qi.

Dynamic Qigong will cleanse the body of stagnant Qi and help to unblock and open up the energy pathways. It provides powerful stimulation to the circulation of blood and a steady surge of energy. Dynamic Qigong may be used therapeutically to purge the blood and tissues of toxic wastes and replenish the whole system with fresh supplies of oxygen and energy. Consistent training will help you develop strength and confidence in your body as well as a clear and alert mind.  Heat from the new Qi will burn out toxins as you sweat.

Why is it necessary to cultivate Qi?2023-07-03T17:06:03-04:00

To Cultivate is to promote or improve the growth and preparedness of something by labor and attention. This is exactly what we are doing with Crane and Turtle Cultivation technique. We are cultivating Nei Qi, new Qi, through the concentrated effort of mind directing breath technique. Cultivation is necessary for refinement of Nei Qi into Jing Qi, which is your original Qi at birth. The result of this technique is rejuvenation and vitality.

Qi cultivation warms our bodies, enhances blood circulation and the delivery of oxygen to all our cells. Cultivation on the lower abdomen regulates digestion and elimination by cleansing and clearing the organs for better assimilation of nutrition. Natural detoxing will occurs as you sweat through all of the pores of your skin.

How can I assimilate QBC?2023-07-03T16:47:41-04:00

The best way to assimilate Qibody Cultivation is to see it as the corner stones, the foundation of a true alchemical practice. It may appear simple because most people are practicing advanced techniques without a proper base or an awakened lower dantian. They are practicing with their imagination or mental Qi without a real connection to their body essence. Mind, breath and essence need to be unified.
The best way to practice is with clarity and focused attention to the technique. Let the learning come from the practice instead of trying to bring what you already know to the practice.
Stay true to the techniques and reach out to Master Franklin when you need clarification.

What is Qi (Chi)?2023-07-03T17:22:03-04:00

The ancient Chinese described it as “life force” or “breath”. Qi is energy in all of its forms, fields and actions. The word Qi is non-specific and is able to take on any vibration of frequency. Qi is energy both potential and manifest. By understanding its rhythm, flow and quality we can use this knowledge to balance, clear and manifest energy in and around our body. Qigong is a science that works with the Qi internally and externally.

What is Qigong?2023-07-03T17:22:57-04:00

This is my favorite definition and it is spot on. Qigong (Chi-kung) is an ancient Chinese system of self-cultivation developed specifically as a means by which each individual may take personal responsibility for protecting health, promoting vitality and prolonging life, while cultivating spiritual awareness and insight. Based on the primordial principles of classical Taoist philosophy, chi-gung is simple and practical – the practitioner learns how to harness the fundamental forces of the cosmos (Heaven), balance them with the elemental energies of nature (Earth) and harmonize them with the essence energy and spirit of human life (Humanity). Chi-gung (Qigong) thus enables the individual to amplify his or her personal power with the infinite power of the Universe.*

What is QiBody?2023-07-03T17:23:27-04:00

QiBody is an enhanced state of being fully connected and aligned with your source of vitality and inspiration. Awareness, breath and Qi are connected internally and externally. Your energy field is balanced and full of vitality. The mind is tranquil and the spirit radiates. QiBody can be achieved with proper training, guidance and dedication to your own development. It is the process of internal refinement.  As we refine our internal energy daily by doing Qigong, our new vibration attracts positive Qi. A vibrant body full of Qi surrounds itself in an energized and balanced field of energy; we are protected internally and externally.

What is QiBody Cultivation?2023-07-03T17:24:00-04:00

QiBody Cultivation (QBC) is a trademarked name for a system of internal cultivation taught by Master Instructor Leah franklin. The result of practicing QBC  is the development of QiBody. QiBody is an enhanced state of being fully connected and aligned with your source of vitality and inspiration. Awareness, breath and Qi are connected internally and externally. Your energy field is balanced and full of vitality. The mind is tranquil and the spirit radiates. Qi Body can be achieved with proper training, guidance and dedication to your own development. How does QBC work?2023-07-03T17:21:25-04:00

QBC works by systematically connecting the individual’s breath and awareness deeper in the body to the subtle mechanisms and centers for directing and generating energy. We make it simple and easy reminding you of what the human being was always designed to be. You are taught one connection at a time; so that you can easily integrate each new level of awareness. When practiced correctly the techniques become living guides that evolve as you grow.

What will QBC do for me?2023-07-03T17:24:34-04:00

If all you learn is the first connection; Qi and breath return to dantian you will feel gently energized and mentally clear and focused. There will be an increase in blood and oxygen to all the cells as well as an internal massaging effect on the organs. Mind and heart are calm and the body is relaxed.

Going further you will learn:

  • To connect with the Earth’s magnetic energy to plug up any leaks in your energy system and stop depletion.
  • Restore resiliency to the nervous system.
  • Understand the internal mechanisms for generating energy or internal Qi.
  • Strengthen and tone the body.
  • Push toxins out of the body through different Qi washes.
  • Enhance the body’s ability to absorb nourishing Qi from food, air and water.
  • Regulate digestion and elimination.
  • Increase circulation of blood, Qi throughout your body.
  • Have a reserve of energy that sustains a rigorous demand.
  • Sharpen all your senses and increase intellectual thought process.
  • Feel a connection to nature and the universe at a deeply nourishing level.
  • Connect to the infinite potential of the universe within.
How often do I practice?2023-07-03T17:25:23-04:00

The breath-work can be practiced every day, the best times are in the morning before rising, during your techniques, and then in the evening before falling asleep. You do not have to monitor your breath all day long as this will only cause stress. Be fully present when you practice and then let it go. Quality wins out over quantity. There are many aspects to the practice that make it easy to integrate into everyday activities. Each individual will have to decide for themselves. The word qigong has too roots; qi is the energy, gong is the effort and dedication you put into cultivating qi in your body. The merit you achieve will be based on your “gong” or practice.

Who else teaches this system of qigong?2023-07-03T17:26:15-04:00

There are only a handful of people with this knowledge who actually teach it. As a traditional martial art system for internal Qi cultivation the knowledge was considered a great advantage and coveted. Masters chose their students with care, only after discerning their character. Power in the wrong hands was dangerous. Of course we are living in different times and this knowledge has become necessary for re-establishing our connection to nature and the universe as we are evolving. There are many styles and systems of Qigong available and all are valuable. My system of Qigong comes directly from the Shaolin Mei Hua Kung Fu Lineage taught to me by Grand Master John Tsai during a 5 year apprenticeship.

QBC Practitioner’s Talk

My name is Nancy and I have been a student of Qi for more than 30 years. I have been studying and practicing acupuncture and Chinese medicine as well as Tai Ji, yoga, and Qi Gong. I have been studying with Leah for over 2 years now. Working with Leah and this material has increased my awareness and sensitivity to Qi more than any other practice thus far. In addition, the cultivation practice really has enabled me to build up enough energy in the lower Dan tian so that the experience of Qi there is strong and unmissable. For someone like myself who has poor aptitude for sensing the subtle, this is a real gift. My daily practice engages me with my own mojo, which naturally makes my acupuncture treatments more effective, but also enriches my quality of life on many levels.

The first gift I received from doing this qigong with Leah is my ability to actually feel the energy go down through my feet and into the earth. Even though I’ve done other practices, this is the first time I have actually opened this channel through both feet. ~Adi

Hello, my name is Derrick. I found my way to this community after trying Leah’s dantian breathing meditation on YouTube. This whole world of Qi wisdom and body cultivation is very new to me. I am learning to accept that only I can create my own internal transformation, and I have to be willing to practice and put in the work. Here’s to beginner’s mind and my very first steps.
